Turkey season is in full swing here in Iowa, and I was just wondering, does anyone else enjoy turkey hunting as well? In fact, I'm in the blind as we speak....

It started saturday here. I might try it one of these years

Well, I'm goin to try again, only my second time out and season ends Sunday... But today is my first official day of summer break from classes, so maybe God will smile on me and let me harvest one of his beautiful creatures as a gift for surviving another semester! LOL Oh well, even if it ends up like my last trip, a bad day of hunting is better than a good day at work! Wish me luck!

Oh, did I mention it's 85 degrees and sunny here? This blind is like an oven! Whew! :thud

What beautiful birds! They are so gorgeous. The people that think they are ugly have never looked at them closely (but considering where I am, I am just preaching to the choir!).

The birds have been all but silent here, this year. I think our spring is late and they are henned up big time. We keep getting foxes running in to our calls but no birds.

I live for turkey hunting! Well, maybe not LIVE, but you know....

My season has been rough but full of surprises and close calls. I get off the boat friday morning and this will be my last weekend to connect.
