Turkey injured my chicken!

My chicken was mounted by my turkey and he has cut her wide open under her left wing. What should I do?

Separate the tom from the chickens before he injures/kills more. Unless the damage is into her body cavity, birds can heal from such injuries, but it is a long recovery. If you are planning on trying to save her, she will probably have to be removed from the flock.

We have removed her and she is in a crate in our kitchen. She doesn’t seem to be in pain. Will her skin grow back over the large tear?

How big+deep is the cut? Can you post a picture?

From under wing to her belly. Probably 6-8” long. It’s her skin that is cut not the muscle. Although it’s the muscle that is showing. I will see about getting photos tomorrow. I don’t want to disturbed her tonight.
