Turkey laying down and can't get up

Ok so I'm probably overreacting alot but I just want to make sure my Turkey is ok! She/He is laying down and won't get up! I am leaning more towards my Turk being a hen but I'm no expert... could she/he be laying her first egg? I found her laying in the front yard outside of her fence (up by our house) and I picked her up and she wouldn't put her legs down she kept them drawn up to her belly. I moved her to the backyard back in her fence and she layed there and wouldn't get up but I started to walk away and she got up and followed me and layed down so here I am sitting beside my Turkey who is laying here doing nothing! Any idea what the problem could be? I have a special bond with this Turkey so I'm just worried!

One of my chicken hens did that once, I thought she may need calcium so I gave her a calcium vitamin pill. Hours later she "gave birth" & laid the biggest egg, a double yolker! It was huge!

Some of my Homing pigeon hens got gimpy limpy, and 1 was laying down, I added calcium gluconate oral solution, 1 tablespoon per gallon to their water, and by day 2 none were gimpy anymore.

It can also be a symptom of paratyphoid or salmonella, but you need to examine the droppings to determine that. Pigeons are easy, their droppings should look like a firm poo marble, so if their poo is runny & stinky, either a hen has been sitting on an egg holding her poo in awhile, or the bird needs probiotic, calcium, or medicine for the paratyphoid. Various types of poultry have such a wide variety of poo consistency & smells, it's not so easy to diagnose simply by looking & sniffing theirs. Check turkey over, does anything else seem "off" like is wattle or comb or inside of mouth very pale, are their mites or lice on body, does bird's weight seem right or going light, is appetite good, are nares crusty or runny or clogged, are eyes clear & bright, is breathing labored or raspy, etc. Worms are also a possibility. You may need to take a poo sample to a vet, or try to find a good avian vet, not an easy task I know.

Hopefully, this is just a prelude to laying an egg.
