Hello! How long do bronze meat turkeys typically live as pets? We "adopted" one and he's still around at about a year old. He eats healthy and free ranges but seems a little slow. Do males live longer than females? Thanks!

Yes best to start ASAP
I restricted feed.... and provided exercise by making her forage for food her whole life.

In BB turkeys, hens tend to live longer than toms. It helps that they don't get as big as the toms get. I had hens easily do 3 years before being taken by a predator.
