We have a broad breasted white turkey, we manage her diet and she is about 2 years old now. Every so often she will get swelling in a leg typically at the ankle joint to knee and foot. We separate her and limit movement. This is the first time discoloration has occured, there is a slight yellowish tinge the runs from the outside toe up to the knee. No discoloration on the other toes and she won't lay on it or put any weight at all on it, except to walk. She roosts on the ground and we change her bedding regularly. The Tom is a heritage turkey and has been trying to mate with her so it could be from him trying to get on top of her. No scabs or bumble foot, pictures are hard to get as drops her wing over her leg. The tinge is new is it possible bruising? Also is it possible the nail is overgrown? Thanks in advance.
