Good morning! I have a 16 week old turkey poult that seems "off". Yesterday afternoon it was standing in a pool of water, eyes closed, just standing for over 30 minutes. It was not hot yesterday, maybe 75°F.
Today, I came out to feed my cross beak chick, and, like usual, it came over to try and get her food. The thing is, she wasn't going after the dropped pieces like normal. When I tried to give him some off my finger, he was missing the food. Not even close. I took a video (linked here https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZpiAYLh1ZRftNFD89). Around 106 you can see what he was doing. It seems now after having eaten some, he's able to go after food and is much more accurate. Is there anything that could account for this? Low blood sugar?
I also had a younger poult die about 10 days ago while on vacation. We were thinking FTT. Ihatched and am raising them for a friend. I've never had turkeys before but have had chickens for 6+ years. I know I have MD and AL in my flock. Thrower of the eggs knew this and still asked me to raise them. Please let me know your thoughts .
