Turkey poult

I got 2 turkey poults 2 weeks ago. The first one died in less than 24 hours and the second one has just started displaying problems 2 days ago.. he seems to be weak and falls over. When I come home from work to check on him, he has fallen over and can’t get up. There are times when I check on him and he is up walking and seems fine. He holds his wings up very oddly.. I’ve been giving him sugar water and I’m trying cayenne pepper as I was recommended. Please help me save my baby!

First one may have been failure to thrive... depending on age when you got them.

Skip the cayenne... what are you feeding? Where did ya get them? Does it have access to grit and do you know the breed?

Turkey poults need a 28-30% protein feed.. if not being fed correctly it will cause weakness and possibly failure.

How is your second babe?

ETA: sometimes crushing the feed a little extra helps.
