Turkey Prepares For First Egg

So all afternoon today our turkey was walking around the yard squatting. At first it was only on the driveway, then all over the yard, then the neighbors yard, then a different neighbors driveway. She has never wandered so far or so much before. Is she just confused with what is happening to her? My chickens never went through this nor the duck. Thanks!

Typically if the hen squats is because she needs to mate. They are very vocal calling for a mate. My hens do it all the time until the Tom mounts them. Do you have a Tom ? Once they mate and are ready to lay, they look for a place to make a nest, One of my hens made her nest out in the wood, I saw her go undere a bush and after she came out, I found some eggs. Now, I put some fake goose eggs in the nest boxes so they can see them and lay their eggs there.

If I have 2 toms and a hen, will they mate, or should I take one of the toms out?? I only have the 3 turkeys, and would love to see them hatch out some littles!

You need to remove one of the toms. They will attempt to mate but the hen is at risk of being injured when the second tom tries to knock the first tom off of the hen.
