I am thinking about getting some turkeys to add to my chicken flock. Will turkeys get along with chickens? Do they stay in a coop at night? Will they range far from the coop or stay close? How long until you can eat them? Thanks for any help.

They would prefer to sleep in trees or somewhere up high, but if you train them at a young age they get use to going in a coop and they will.

They will go as far as they need to get food. For the most part they will stay close.

How long until you can eat them?
If you get good stock with good growth genes, 24-32 weeks hatchery and sub par birds you are looking at 1.5 years or so.
