Turkey recovery from blackhead!

the yellow is gone in the poop now still green and runny I think way make progress
It's possible that she also has a secondary bacterial and or fungal infection which are very common in birds that have had blackhead, so you really need to get some fluids and food into her ASAP so you can evaluate her poop. If you can post a picture of her poop, that would be helpful.

Sorry to hear about your hen but glad that she is a lot better. The term sounds so rough but it's really quick easy and the bird does not suffer. Casportpony is a pro at tube feeding. I know that she will see this thread and chime in. Since this thread, I have secured a HUGE syringe (without the needle of course) and have mixed a food mixture up and have fed it to one of my poults that needed it. It is a 2 ounce syringe. Worked a miracle for my bird.

Keep us posted on your bird. Good Luck.

Wouldn't call myself a pro, but I have had lots of experience doing it! Had I not figured out how to, I know that ten of my peas and three of my turkeys would not be alive today.

thanks casport I will post tomorrow some pics or tonight in your time I think it is morning in the states now. I gonna cook some egg and mix it with canyenne pepper and gave it to her

FYI, hydration should be fixed before force feeding. Sometimes I'll add a little corn syrup to the fluid if they haven't been eating, but it's always fluid first.
