Turkey Tom 8 months old Not Eating,Sick??

I dont think i caught it it in time. He's been on tetracycline since thursday. What is the treatment for coccidi
Treatment for coccidiosis is usually Corid, but what he needs right now is to be brought inside where you can keep him warm and get him hydrated by using a crop tube.

Tetracycline doesn't work on many bacteria and it sure won't work if they aren't drinking enough.

Ok, Here's the deal. I just got home from the dentist and I'm wiped out. She had a hard time getting this tooth out.

He is alive and alert, just has no strength to get up. I'll got to tsc after I wake up from a nap. I'll pick up the corid and find a feeding tube. He is resting comfortably in front of a fan( we are in deep south Texas, its already in the 90s and itll be a hundred in the afternoon, warmth is not a problem, heat exhaustion is.) how much and how often should i give him the corid? How long before I see some sort of an improvement? I don't want him to suffer anymore than he has.

Make sure you watch the videos before you try tubing. You need to tube water first to get him hydrated, then water and baby bird food. This is not an easy fix and it's possible that he doesn't have coccidiosis. Is he a pet or were you planning on eating him?

Eating him. Im willing to try and save him and use him as a breeder if it takes too long for him to put the weight back. I just dont want him suffering needlessly. He'll have my full attention today thru wednesday, as im out of work because of this tooth thing. And thank you so much for your help and patience

The size tube I recommend is a size 18 french, but get what you can as long as it's larger than a 12 french. Can you post a picture of his poop?

I just got home from getting supplies and i'm wiped again. Turkey lurkey is still alert and has drank a half a gallon of water on his own. I will attempt to tube feed this evening. When should I start the corid?
