Hey! I’m wondering if anyone can identify the type of turkey this brown one is ? I think a standard bronze hen but not sure . I’m pretty sure the smaller white is royal palm - (I see the black lines coming in) and the very large white is broad breasted. Also, can I breed two different types of turkeys together. (Obviously not the broad breasted white) Thank you!

The red one appears to be a Bourbon Red. The small white should be showing easily visible black areas on its wings if it is a Royal Palm. I am not seeing those black areas in the photos.

The big white one is a BBW. They are all the breed Turkey and can breed with each other. In the case of the BBW, the best opportunities for successful breeding is when it is a yearling. The older it gets, the less supple it will be making natural breeding more difficult. It also helps if the BB is the hen and the tom is heritage.

These photos show the black a little better. I originally thought she was another bbw and the feed store had given me the wrong one I wanted two heritage and 1 bbw.

If all 3 are the same age, I would guess that the BBW and the Bourbon Red will turn out to be toms. The basis for this is because they both are showing significant wattle growth while the Royal Palm is not.
