Hi all!

It looks like my turkey has diarrhea....her under carriage is all cakey, and her butt muscle / vent seems to be puffing out and red...it looks irritated. Any suggestions on how to clean her undersides?
Update: now that we have researched, it looks like an egg broke on the inside. Any suggestions? She is secreting a white liquid, so it looks like egg whites.

i (personally) would clean up the mess on the outside with warm water and a gentle rag. then contact a local vet for further advice or care.

idk if this is relevant but one of our chickens had a similar issue. but we got to her too late. by the time we found her on her nest, she was dead and another hen pushed her body off the eggs and seems to "adopt" the nest

I hope so too.....she is a pet, and she's just a love. We happen to have a large dog crate, so we'll put her in that tonight, so to keep her nice and cozy. Any suggestions for food/water? I don't have an outside cage waterer.

whenever I've had to isolate my hens, i poke two small holes on the very edge of a [clean] whip cream container and thread string through them and tie it to the cage so it doesn't get knocked over. this can be used for food or water. another idea is cut the face of a [clean]milk jug, leaving the handle, lid, and a bottom "dish". then tie the handle to the cage to keep that from being dumped. this also could be used for food or water. hope this helps.

I wouldn't get a vet for her but better safe than sorry? I'd soak her in a warm Not Hot! tub of water and try and get as much of the waste off of her and continue to do this until it clears up, Doesn't sound that serious to me.
