TURKEY WITH PUNCTURE WOUNDS

I posted a previous thread about a new turkey, but little did I know, the persons dog (the person I got him from) , bit his wing pretty bad. The people did not own the turkey, it showed up in their yard. The dog is fully vaccinated. also, does anybody know the Mareks vaccine doseage for a turkey? I am getting it from Jeffers farm.

Mature turkeys are very resilient and can heal from minor wounds on their own very well. About the only thing that I might do is to put some BluKote on the injuries and leave him alone.

Turkeys heal quickly. I leave them alone unless it's a deep wound

not for the wounds, for my chickens. I do not want him to spread it if he is carring it

If you vaccinate him, you are guaranteeing that he will be carrying it. The turkey's form of Mareks is what they use to vaccinate chickens.
