My Turkey, Wimpy, seems to have a sour crop. She is not eating hardly at all the past two days, almost no solids in her poop, crop is squishy, and she keeps doing this "wretching" motion with her neck, but she can't get anything up. I gave her a tiny bit of food by hand(and got bitten really hard in the process lol) earlier with ACV in it mixed into a mash, a vitamin B12 to try to boost her energy/appetite and a probiotic just in case it helps her insides until I can get her some medicine. PLEASE tell me what I can give her to help her get better, she is a treasured pet and is not looking good.

She definitely does have sour crop. As soon as I was able to convince her to eat some wet mash, she finished it and then started trying to regurgitate, and it smelled really sour. So, at least she ate some food, and I know what it is now. I have already researched treatments and am going to have to go with what I learned so far. I was just hoping to be able to discuss it here with others who have treated this ailment, but after asking three times, I'm just going to have to go with what I learned and approximate dosages for a bird this size.

I hope your turkey starts feeling better. I have had two chickens go through this. One girl, once I helped her to regurgitate up what was in her crop, she felt better immediately. The other one, I'm still working on. She's not looking good.

Don't get discouraged if no one writes to you...I've created several threads asking for help that no one answers. I'm not sure why some threads get so popular and everyone chimes in and others no one wants to touch.

Best of luck to you :)
