turkey wont open mouth for meds

I have three sick turkeys. Have meds in syringe. Two of my turkeys take no problem but the third a female will not open beak so i can get syringe in to take meds. Does anyone have any tricks to get her to open mouth. She is a fighter and is getting very stressed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The way I medicate turkeys is to sit down so I can rest their weight on my lap. Then I place one arm over the body, securing both wings close to the bird's side, but leaving my hand free to come at the head from the other side. With that hand, I grab the wattles - or whatever I can get to close to the bottom beak - and pull the beak open. Then with the other hand, I slip the tip of the syringe in and slowly depress it to ensure she swallows rather than inhaling it.
