turkeys and hens.

I plan on keeping my turkeys with chickens....is this a big problem? As I realise the turkeys may develop blackhead...the hens are regularly wormed and their pens clean and they have a very large outdoor area to roam...will this be enough or can I take other precautionary measures?

Good drainage of run (sand base helps dry it out even faster) is useful. The regular worming goes a long way to decreasing the overall probability of transfer, if you have the protozoan in the soil.
