Turkeys are driving me crazy....

We got 12 turkeys this year and too many of are tom's.

They are driving us crazy. Way too much noise, the only time they shut up is when they're sleeping.


Need to get rid of at least four tom's, this weekend.

Butcher them? That's what I would do anyway. Or put them on Craigslist for free and expect someone else to do it.

If you lived close to me, I'd take them all of your hands. Maybe find your state in the Where Am I? Where Are You? section of the forum and see if you can find someone there who will take them

I am in San Luis Obispo CA. I run Happy Hen Chicken Rescue, a non-profit organization for farm animals. We started out just a chicken rescue, but we have expanded to other species, such as turkeys, as well. I would hate to see your boys killed, if that is at all a possible decision you may make..
I have a questions: Are you also looking to get rid of the females, or just the males?
If you decide it's butchering them, or you'd give them to someone who would eat them, please email me first! Because what if I could take them, and you killed them?? You know?

We eat all our birds, chickens, turkeys, ducks.


These turkeys will be making their way into our freezer a month or so earlier than expected.
