Turkeys feathers fall out easy...

I have a 4-5 month old Narragansett turkey. She often will jump up on the run (about once a week) so I have to grab her and put her in the coop.the last few times I grabbed her she really lost a lot of feathers. Is it normal or could she be moulting? Thanks

Birds have a natural defense mechanism to escape predators. When grabbed by the feathers, they release them so they can escape.
