Quote: You can made your own . Buy unpasturized apple cider vinegar.

1` cup feed + 2 T ACV + water to cover + stir 3-4 times a day + 12-24 hrs > 60 degrees room temp ; drain and keep the liquid to start the next batch.

THe commercial feeds have killed all the natural "bugs" in our foods-- yes our foods. Consider consumming some your self. I use ACV in slaw, or when I need vinegar for a recipe like in homemade salad dressing.

I probably am worrying unneccesarily...thank the good Lord in we do not have mosquitoes here...flies yes but no mosquitoes! and not awful either at least not yet... the flies get worse when the monsoons come. I clean my coop 2 times a day like my coral so they stay down. I hope your chick is better and that it will be okay.

There is a BYC thread for fermenting feed.

Is there another way besides fermented feed you think? ACV is IMPOSSIBLE to find in my area an even more Impossible to find it with mother in it

To be honest with you, you can put some ACV in their water and have some yogurt for them. I am not a fan of "making" fermented feed simply because I don't have the time. ACV and yogurt works perfect for my birds.
