Okay, I am going to ask: Does it take?

Lisa :)

No, the duck will dive into the water and the roo goes into the drink, the turkey hen stands and the roo falls off, then she chases hin all over the yard, if caught, he gets pecked. With the chick, he picks it up by it's neck and mates with the air beneath it's feet and with the rock or bags, he looks around blushes and hopes no other bird was looking, especially a chicken hen! LOL

Hi everyone,
Hoping for advice. 2 of my adult turkeys, Buddy and Lila, have turned up sneezing and nasal discharge. I separated them when I noticed, and have been reading all over the place trying to get info. I have tylan, whats the dose and frequency for adult birds? We have had several hot and cold spells the last 2 weeks, and all of us people in the house are fighting allergies badly! I already use acv in all the birds water. I am surrounded by corn and beans and all the crops have been getting harvested around us. My pair lived in the city until 3 months ago! I also saw mention of antihistamine. Any advice welcome, these 2 are my RP breeding pair, and I just love them both, they are more like pets. Buddy turned away from the food last night, so I am worried sick.

Buddy is ALWAYS first! I am blaming myself, was tied up all week running mom to her regular annual visits with the doctors. Haven't spent the usual time with my flocks this week, was too tired from all the driving in the city. Should have spent more time out with my birds in the evenings.
Am so worried about both. Have 2 of their poults that are due to go out, I am keeping them in the brooder now til this is resolved. I noticed this morning, one of my BBW hens in a separate pen was sneezing! hoping its all the dust from the crops and not something worse. Plan to look over all my birds tomorrow. My RP were in with the main flocks since breeding/laying season is over.

If you have already separated the two sick RP's and another bird is sneezing you should probably get some water slouable tylan and treat them all! I am treating all my birds for sneezing. But I tried it for 4 days and the started sneezing the next day again. So I am now doing a 7 day treatment in their water so they all get it! Good luck! The ones that are not moving or eating, I put the tylan 50 in a syringe and squirt it in their mouth. 1/2cc.

Sorry your birds are sick. Tylan should work wonders on them. Only problem is depending on the type of sick they are, you might make they get better now, but they could be carriers for life. The disease will shed and your other birds will pick it up and then they will get sick and so on and so on. If you have or have had sick birds you should not sell hatching eggs, chicks or poults because the babies can also be carriers. Just a thought for you all. I know I love my birds very much but if I had a sick one I would cull to protect my flocks.

Are your birds showing any other symptoms to help pin point what they may be dealing with?

Mine only sneezed twice. No other symptoms.
My NPIP agent is coming out this next week to test some birds for me. I will see what the tests shows.
