Quote: Yes, I drop the temp a degree and jack up the humidity to 80%. I follow the instructions at Porters and Yinpu also uses this method ( hatching birds are in her blood!)

I didnt know how to drop the temp on my bator lol so they are in lockdown at 99.6, and really 80% !?!? I am hatching my first poults ever right now, one is hatched and so far one is pipped, humidity is at 60% that is as high as my incubator will go. I did not try adding sponges or anything but at this point I have pips going on and dont want to jepordize the hatch. Do you think this will be ok? I really hope this hatch goes well.Yes, I drop the temp a degree and jack up the humidity to 80%. Quote: Some people hatch at the chicken RH% so see how that works for you. If the RH% is raised at the 80% levels you MUST decrease the temps as the air cannot hold enough air which equates to not hold enough oxygen. THese little buggers need a lot o oxygen now, and more when they internally pip and even more upon hatch.

Yes she is in a dog create now as she refuses to go into the shed at night now... She paced for an hour today because the hens went for a walk around the yard but she walked back into the dog crate and is just watching the eggs like they are sapposed to hatch...So my hen decide to lay another batch of 14 eggs.
