At this point I'm happy if it" gets the job done"-- my model does not.

Hehehe so not kidding, I have 25 white guinea keets going by friday. Have a very good offer on my RP poults but I want to add them to my breeding stock this spring! My RP has stopped laying for the year so am not really wanting to sell any more.I am so happy to post that I sold a pair of turkeys tonight. I posted the ad at 8 this morning and had a phone call by noon. I know that I should have asked for more $ but I never see turkeys for sale much around here. He was really interested in my gray pair but no way. Only 2 toms to go. After selling 7 chickens and freezing 5 roo's over the week end and now these 2 turkeys, I can see my food bill going down and down.
Congrats Sally! That is great!I am so happy to post that I sold a pair of turkeys tonight. I posted the ad at 8 this morning and had a phone call by noon. AGH I am so mad at myself. I decided to candle my broody turkeys egg when she hopped off this morn to eat. Well 3 looked to have cracks in them, maybe she stepped on them. Well I decided to open them to see if they were clear or what. And the one with only a faint crack was alive AGH and I killed it. Im so mad!!! To make matters worse my luck is really bad, I candled my Broody chicken hens eggs last night and she is a devilish little thing as I was putting her egg back under her she growled and pecked it hard.I need to stop touching things and let nature take its course. Im just nervous they wont end up with chicks or poults and they will have gone all those days for nothing. Sigh.![]()
