I just had to share a barnyard story with you all. I hope that you enjoy this.
So this weekend, I decided to let my peas out of their flight pen to roam with the rest of the barnyard crew.
My white pea came over and sat down by me and minding her own business.
Then she starting walking around the yard, still minding her own business.
Well, in less than 2 minutes, this is what happens.
SO after about 3 minutes of that and after I caught up with the turkeys to make them stop chasing my pea, they stop running and this is what happens next.
So here are three of them before they call for the others to come and join in.
The others have made it over to join in on the bullying.
So the noises and bullying begins.
And here's what happens next.
Once all of that was over with, she ran and took her position on the winner's podium, (MY CAR). When that happened, the party was OVER. Time to go back in. She gave them a good scare. She ran the boys away.
My turkeys are bullys !!!!!!! They refuse to allow anyone to have a great day. Do they not know it's Thanksgiving Turkey time.

THe benefits of growing our own!!! NO shortage on turkey.
I made soup yesterday of the latest one to meet the knife. SO so so good just meat and garlic salt-- ate 3 bowls today. Yum. Of course keeping count of the remaining birds is getting harder-- the number keeps changing.
Thank you . I have a few MW that I hatched in April, but all turned out to be toms, so I will need to get more eggs, and hope for a few hens, this time! They look exactly the same to me, except for size, of course! LOL They are the largest and the smallest and we want both as we have a very large family, but are empty nesters, and love turkey year round.
That's a great looking egg!Congratulations! The size will increase after they lay a few and you will be amazed at the size of a MW's eggs, compared to their size !

You have great looking birds! You also have quite a few feathers in your yard, too. I need to mow mine, not so much to cut the grass, but to get rid of the feathers. It looks like a light snow fell! LOL
