Turkeys ... how to pronounce snood?!

Well if it doesn't have " ya-al " in It, I don't understand what ya-al are talkin bout..

Our granddaughter got snood down cold on the second try. She is still unable to pronounce caruncles (maybe when she turns 4...)

So now another question for you turkey people ... why is the snood sometimes small and firm and sticks up like a horn, and other times it is floppy and hangs WAY down over his beak? (I won't tell you what my dad said ... it isn't very appropriate for a family site

Your dad might have put it more `succinctly' than delicacy permits me to repeat (even with asterisks), but he's probably compassed the connotation with efficiency, i.e., the boys are showing the other boys who's boss. And, once the winner takes the con he can then go impress the hens struttin' his stuff and swinging his snood...​
