Turkeys in Colorado, HELP!!

Years and years ago we raised turkeys but it was so hard to keep them alive that we gave up. Silly me, I decided to try again!!
I got an order a dew weeks ago. Out of 23, we have lost 11. I got more today............. I am wondering if anyone has any tips on why they are so difficult to raise? We raise pullets (anywhere from 50-300 at a time) so I know all about the heat, feed, water, space etc...... is there something different that I should be doing with the turkeys?
Once I get them past about two weeks it seems that they are fine, but they are a little expensive to be losing so many right off of the bat
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Clean bedding, clean water, gamebird starter for feed. I have no idea what temp my brooder is, I just adjust the light so they are scattered about and sound content.

Quick update on my turkeys.............. usually by now I would had lost one or two, not counting the one that arrived dead.........I haven't lost any!! I just went out to check on them, they are not all huddled up and everyone looks to be doing well (even the Ameraucan that somehow snuck in) We will see in the morning if they all make it. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

As long as they aren't huddled under the light or hanging out at the edges away from the light, the temp should be right... Good luck!

So far I haven't even lost one

. I hope I can keep them going like this for the next week, then I know they will be fine.

I have ordered and raised 17 Red bourbon Poults to over 13 weeks with same age Chics I think I kept the heat up around 95 with no drafts and only dropped it after 2 weeks 5 degrees to 90.
They stayed in the bath tub till 3 weeks and then moved to the brooder and always kept a thermometer and thermostat to regulate the temp with no drafts.
it helped we had a mild Spring with only a few cold nights.
Game bird starter and fresh water with apple cider vinegar and at 6 weeks placing a little D.E. in there food every few weeks and still have 17 Turkeys.

I think its a gamble every time tho circumstances are different for everyone.
