turkeys in thailand

What feed mix do you use? We buy ready mixed high protein but if I knew what to ask for I would mix my own according to traditional methods.

I'm not sure whether we shall have any ready for Thanksgiving this year. The original 9 will be kept for breeding stock/pets. The new poults might just be ready in time. On the other hand, there could well be a turkey or two in these parts that's just right for the pot if you or someone wants to take a look.

The bamboo saga continues. We bought the plants and I was very impressed with the farm on which they were grown. They gave us plenty of advice there. Yesterday, her indoors spent all afternoon watching a tractor plough the one nan where they will be planted. We drove over there this morning tooled up ready to plant and, oh boy, what a mess. She wanted furrows for drainage so the driver did just that, piling soil on top of grass and weeds in between. On top was where we were to plant and I just hit weeds every time the fork went in. He agreed to do a proper job tomorrow. The fundamental question in my mind is 'Why have furrows?' The Bamboo plantation didn't. But, as you know, we ask only so many questions before the conversation ends.
