I agree with Jeff,
We do the same thing with the poults/chicks. The poults will follow the chicks. Don't let them get over crowded, that's how the poults end up getting pushed aside from the feed and water and "starve out". You can tell if some are getting pushed aside, they will lag behind in growth and you will notice them always on the outer edges.
