Jerseychick,
I have 4 hatched living with their hen-momma, but I'm not sure I'm ready to sell them yet because 2 of the other nests have not hatched and probably won't at this point, and I'm still waiting to find out if the 4th and 5th nests are going to be hatching.
I do have friends nearby who have an adult pair of Red Bourbons to sell for $10 apiece (1 year olds), and 2 more toms, if you're interested.
I have to post pictures but if so I will need to let one go or trade for a girl. That would be from the Bourbon Reds in Lancaster. I was also wondering if I should have taken girls and gotten a boy else where so when breeding they may not be from the same litter. It seems that the ones I have are different ages. The big boy seems older than the two that were girls. There were SO many Turkeys there who knows!. If you go p/u in Lancaster they sell meat there also if I had known I would have prepared to bring home some fresh beef.
I love my Turkeys, they reluctantly go into the coop at night after some herding. I hope they realize it is futile to resist!
Warrior child, you should be able to know for sure of the ones you got in Lancaster if they're boys or girls. I think you got 1 boy and 2 girls right? Based on their wattles, it would be very obvious which was which. Let me know how it's going with them, and if I can help in any way.
