I have a turkey that laid 14 un-fertile eggs I have no tom so i put 18 fertile chicken eggs under her has any one ever tries this she has been sitting on them for about 2 weeks now

I have heard that turkeys can sit on chicken egg even duck eggs and hatch them and raise them just fine. The only problem I have heard is that chicken egg shells aren't as strong as turkey egg shells and the turkey hens being larger have a tendency to break the chicken eggs.

I personally wouldn't give turkey hens chicken eggs to hatch out but not doing so is just my personally preference.

Thanks for the info I just felt bad for her as I watched her turning the eggs that would never hatch so I thought I would give it a try

Some chickens have thicker shells, naturally, than others. For example, a Maran or an oliver egger, they have thick shells and might be a better choice ... actually, the darker the egg, the thicker the shell...so I was just told. Your turkey would probably do just fine with those and not break any.
