I gotta get these eggs turned by hand and never done this! My understanding is mark eggs with X and O, turn 3-5 times a day, don't leave on same side 2 nights in a row! Now for my ?'s.. I may be away from home 1-2 times in the rest of this incubation period.. Will that hurt the embryos? I have 48 in there.. Will the time it takes me to turn them all affect them cause of drop in temp/humidity?

Sorry for the late response.

Those are some good questions. In my experience missing a day won't harm eggs, particularly in the first few days or the last week or so. The humidity drop can be difficult. I've only ever had a few eggs in the incubator, so turning them was easy without affecting it much. Hopefully someone else can help you with that answer.

They should be fine. Remember that a hen gets off her nest every single day, sometimes for over an hour, and still manages to have chicks hatch.
