I tried searching the forum and couldn't find a similar thread...
I've had my eggs in the incubator for about ten days and just realized the turner had stopped working. The eggs were in an almost upright position (vertical). Turner is now fixed. Anybody have this happen, and if so what was the results of the hatch?
Thanks,
Kw

I set my eggs one time in a Styrofoam incubator which was in a out building----I was in a hurry when I set the 20 eggs in it---checked the water and temp every day---at about the same time----I did notice that the eggs appeared to be in about the same position every time I looked(about straight up) but I figured it was because of checking them at about the same time-----day 18 went to remove the turner---never been plugged in------the plug/cord was not even in the area of the receptacle----so I knew it had never been plugged in-----I had about a 40% hatch.

Thanks, I'll let them run and see what happens, I have 43 eggs in there. I thought the same thing when seeing the turner in the same position every time I checked ... little did I know the cam arm had gotten knocked off the motor shaft. Ugh!

True enough ... just hate to see the loss for something that is my fault. No doubt technology has made me complacent. Hatching duck eggs back in the day, the incubator was tended three times a day for manual turning and wetting.
That is true, and I do use a turner in my cabinet but I do not want a automatic waterier----I want to HAVE to check the water every day so I can see what is happening.
