I have 6 mutt eggs on the counter right now waiting for the rest of a dozen to show up (probably Sunday afternoon), what I am wondering is do I need to turn the eggs on the counter-top 2-3 times per day? I am leaving town, and will likely just get hte eggs from the coop on Sunday and then fire up the bator, set it, and check it on Monday, and then eggs go in Monday evening. Does this sound like a good plan?

Also, I do not have an auto turner, will turning 2 times daily be OK?

I'm completely inexperienced , but from what I have read here they are to REST with pointed ends down = not turned prior to incubation .

yes you turn them as before incubation for the same reasonyou turn them during incubation....stops stuff from sticking and attaching to the sides

yeah two is better than none and better than way too much so the temp fluctuates all over the place

Right. I have found if you dont turn them it results in problems (even when you have them resting). Though I know of some people that dont do it and everything turns out okay.

I am not that lucky...or I do multiple dumb things
