Have never hatched eggs without an automatic turner before - Is turning them every 12 hours good enough?

No, at least 3 times a day, maybe even 4 times, otherwise they will stick to the shell

Before I got my auto-turner, I turned my eggs three times a day. When I woke up in the morning, at noon, and before I went to bed at night. Once a day isn't going to work... Good luck!!

I talked to a guy at work the other day whose daughter is a teacher and he told me that she had an incubator in her class and had nearly a 100% hatch rate only turning the eggs when she got to class and then before leaving. I have a batch that is hatching right now that was in a turner that had stopped working for maybe days before I noticed it. It is looking like the hatch rate is going to suffer pretty bad, but some are hatching. Just judging based on my previous hatches, its probably only going to be half of normal.
