Turning eggs?

Hello quick question i have 2 incubators one has a turner the other i have put in cartons to turn how often must i turn the eggs? thanks!!

2 or three times aday is good. everyone will have a different reason why one or the other is better.

I read a book devoted to incubating and hatching by Stromberg. Three times is minimum; 5 times results in better hatch rates. Hen--about 96 times a day. Especially important the first week as the embryo needs to get located in the correct place yet not stick to the membrane.

I keep a log book and check temps frequently so I just rock the cooler. Easy to do 5-7 times a day.

At a minimum 2 times a day. 3-5 times a day is better if you have the time.

Is it just a 45deg turn (like gently flopping it to the other side) or a full turn? Thanks
