Hey guys, so I just set my eggs on Sunday and I don't have an automatic turner so I am rolling them by hand 3 times I day. The problem is I had my mom doing the afternoon turn for me and she had been flipping them over instead of rolling them. Is this going to hurt the eggs? She has only done is twice but I'm worried that flipping them over could damage the embryos... :(

If it's only been done twice they will be fine. This is why I don't let my parents touch my incubator or anything of the sort. Even though I explain things down to a science they still manage to get it wrong. Mark your eggs with an X on one side and an O on the other side. Three times a day just change which side of the egg is facing up.

Yeah I've told them to keep away. I even showed her how to do it and believe it or not I have x's and o's on them and she still thought that flipping them was the correct way.

Thanks for the response! I'm glad they should be okay, I've been worrying all afternoon.

Like instead of rolling them over she was picking them up and flipping them bigger end over pointy end. Kind of like rolling them vertically rather than horizontally...it's hard to explain.
So like the smaller end would be pointing toward the right and she would flip it so it was pointing toward the left, but also instead of the x showing it would be the o (she remembered the reversing of the x and o part).
