Tweety is enjoying the stick roost I put in that's only a few inches off the brooder floor. I moved the chicks to a bigger brooder tote Sunday night. Penguin is still small, but she's growing, very slowly. Glacier, Tweety, and B. A. have been very kind to her and are alrady like little "mother hens" to her.
Cocoa is as cute as can be. If you ask her a yes or no question, she shakes her head "no".
Pumpkin is the biggest and a bit of a "school bully" to the others. She does NOT tolerate Penguin's tardiness in growing. Pumpkin was the first to fly out of the Kiwi playbox and explore the garage.
Chippy is the second biggest. She's a hyper little "chipmunk".
Puffin is almost as small as Penguin. She's been Penguin's "big sister".
Even though it is still early, I have suspicions that Cocoa may be a little cockerel and not a little pullet. Same with B. A. They both seem to have reddening faces already! I hope they aren't roosters because I've already had my fair share of roosters, but if they do turn out to be cockerels, I will keep them.
