Well, the full moon rose over the horizon last night, and bantam chicks started popping out of shells . . . one day early! Twin Egg rocked, and rolled, and soon a pip!
The zip followed a few hours later, and as we waited with bated breath - -
out popped a nice big chick! - - ONE CHICK.
Six different people saw two embryos in that egg at the end of February, and one chick came out. Perhaps we should not speculate on what happened to the other one, or where it is right now.
In any case, we are happy and relieved to have all live chicks! Thanks to all who followed this thread. Add to your knowledge files, for whatever it's worth.
