Twin Egg?! ***PICS***

I just candled my eggs under my broody hen (day 4) and found an egg that looks like it has two chicks developing. This seems odd to me because the hen who layed these eggs has never layed a double yolk egg before and the “twin” egg is the exact same size as all her other eggs. First pic is a normal egg and second pic is “twin egg.” Just wondering if others thought this...

It does look like you may have two embryos developing in there. Candle again in a few days and let us know what's happening, please?

Twins develop due to two egg yolks in one egg....a double yolker!

Uptadate: I could definately see the twins a couple days ago but now it is too dark to see...I’ll have to wait and see what happens

A long time ago I saw a video of 2 chicks hatching from a single egg (some assistance was needed). Don't think it happens a lot, or at least not where both survive, but guess it's possible.

This happens more often than people think actually. There was a Big thread a few weeks back where someone hatched twins. I will see if I can find it.
