Twin egg?

I'm interested to see what happened too. I had a chick hatch about a month ago that was a twin. The first time I candled the egg at about a week I could see 2 distinct embryos swimming around. Obviously one died early on because when the one chick hatched the only sign of the twin was a ruptured yolk and little blood spot. And the chick that ended up hatching was all sticky and covered in yolk from its twin. It was definitely interesting and I was honestly shocked I had even one chick hatch from that egg. He/she is now a healthy 4 week old though!

OOPS>>>>>>I made an error!!!
I thought I was responding to my other thread about the egg that i had to tape up since it was cracked.
Unfortunately, this egg DID not make it.

since you asked, here is my update!
my hatch went on and was so awesome to watch. 3 eggs never pipped during the process. i was about to tidy up the 3 eggs that didn't. I have never hatched eggs before so totally new to this. I saw on youtube you could do a float test for unhatched eggs. I did that and one was different. So, i decided to candle the eggs for education and mostly curiosity. This egg, i could see what looks like breathing inside. a shadow moving. There was something going on, so i left it in the incubator. I'm not expecting too much but i can't not give the little chick at least a chance. so, that is where we are right now. Just waiting without getting my hopes up still.
Anyone else experience this? is this normal?

I'm new to hatching and forums! forgive my error!!!

I candled an egg.
A little backstory, i have 2 eggs which are larger and i suspected twins. I'm on day 16 and half of the egg is moving around the other half looks empty and it the typical "lot up like a christmas bulb" look. Is it possible to have an egg with 1 twin who continues to delevop while the other does not? Or only half is fertilized? Just seems strange to me. The other egg i suspected possible twins is dark inside egg filled with the developing embryo.

This egg is from a lavender orpington

Any insight?

I've had twin eggs, they never did make it. Is this egg in the photo still alive? It looks really odd....
