I have a 10 week old Lt Brahma cockerel that's had one twisted feather on his right wing for weeks. Now he has one on the left wing also. The whole flock is molting but none of the others have this. Is it an injury, deficiency or genetics? I'd like to keep him as he's a great protector for the flock but if it's a genetic defect he might have to go.

Thanks for the help. What do you mean by 'protein levels'? Too high? Too low?
I don't know what he could be hitting his wings on that the others don't...there are 27 birds in this flock and the rest are fine. I'm really stumped as to what it could be.

Since it is just two feathers on equal sides... I think it was just a fluke in their growth. I'd pull those and see if the grow back in the same. Often too high of protein levels can cause feathers to curl.
