Twisted foot and wont put pressure on it

Hello all!

I have a duckling that twisted her foot when she got scared. She has been secluded and resting. Her foot is back to normal but she won't put pressure. I have been doing water therapy 2xs a day since yesterday. What else should I do?

First of all

I’m so sorry to hear that your duckling is having a problem with her foot. How is she doing today? I don’t have any experience with this but am sending well wishes!

It looks swollen. Can you get a pic with both legs side by side so we can see the difference. Warm water soak can help along with rest. Hopefully there isn’t a break. Keep her from over doing just like a sprain with us rest is about the best. You could supplement some b complex into her feed if your not giving any niacin supplementation.
