Two 1 Day Old Rare Assortment Chicks...

Just got my 3 new chicks! A lavender orp roo, and then 2 "mystery/hatchery choice rare breed" hens, all from Meyer hatchery.

What do you think? The brown one and the black one...

I'm thinking maybe Welsummer, Speckled Sussex, or light brown leghorn.

And maybe a barred rock, Easter egger, or a blue Andalusian?

**update: the black one has "cheek puffs" that are a little puffer than the rest...does this mean Easter egger?

They are old not enough to sex. You'll have to wait until they are 4-8 weeks old.

Oh I don't care about the sex, really lol. We ordered the Lavender roo, but the other two are hens, or not, doesn't matter lol....just looking for breed, just for fun since they were an assortment pick.

Just curious as to what you think your black one turned out to be? I ordered a rare breed and 2 color layer assortment and have 2 that look like that...... puffy cheeks and feather legs and one has 5 toes.... I got the answer as Green Queen not sure if you think you have the same seeing how yours should be around 12+ weeks now.

The problem is both color assessment and rare breeds can cross over. The meal make should have been Easter egger which is gray one I think? White is (cream) white legbar. 2 blacks green queen. The pics from when they are older are 4-5 weeks old

@Audi0 the white one looks like a white legbar. Whatever the meal maker is should have been a easter egger. And im looking into the black ones.
