Two 3 month old turkeys. Gender?

I posted this in the "what breed or gender is this?" But someone suggested I also post here.

I think it's a little early, but my grandmother asked me to help out with telling the gender of her 2 young turkeys. They hatched around the end of July. They are at least 3 months old. They're super scared of people, so this is as close as I could get to them. I'm pretty sure if I tried to catch them the mother would claw my eyes out or something.

They also had one die recently. He started to get kinda slow for a couple days and apparently died yesterday morning. They suspect it might’ve been from some food scraps that they had given to the chickens. That got me thinking could that be the cause of death? Are there any foods turkeys are sensitive to? Could he have died from a different reason?

The turkeys in the photos are numbered 1 and 2. I personally (with 0 turkey sexing experience) think 1 is male and 2 is female.

Both are hen poults. Turkeys generally don't die from food poisoning, droopy for a couple of days and then dead, could be coccidiosis or blackhead.

Nr. 1 was puffed up like a male turkey today. Does that mean he's male or both are still hen poults? You can see in the beginning of the video.

Both hens and toms can and do strut. I don't believe your strutting poult is old enough to say for sure what it's sex is from a photo.

He is a tom, all I saw in the original pictures were the palm hens.

Here they are now. Looks like a pair. Nr 1 has gotten really tall and also does the gobble like his father. Both have inherited the brown color from their grandmother.

The first 2 photos are of #1. The rest are of his sister.
