Two 4 week old chicks suddenly bald in their saddles...

This seemed to happen almost overnight. I'm not seeing any bullying at all while I'm with them, and we've been observing closely. One of the affected chicks is one of the more dominant personalities in the bunch, and the other is one of the quieter, shy ones. They're getting a 20% protein feed. What seems a likely cause?
 
Any chance they're just outgrowing their feathers? Or are there feathers that were there but are missing now? Pictures might help here.

Thank you! I'll try to get pictures, but where your little guy has fuzz there, mine are completely bald there.
