These are two 15 week old chickens I got from Murray McMurray.
1. The first one (Unnamed) is a cockerel whose breed I am unsure of. I am considering keeping him as our flock rooster. I am wondering if he is a Minorca? He's got the white spot behind the head and has a rose comb (or, at least looks that way to me...it is kind of a mess looking). Black with a greenish sheen in the light. We have 5 cockerels in this group; he is the smallest of them (others are a couple NH Reds, a Cuckoo Marans -- I think, and a Red Star sex link). Behaviorally, he is the most wary of us. Of our chickens, he has always been the hardest to catch. Wary, fast, and agile.
2. The second one is a Pullet named 'Puffers' (my 6 year old names our chickens). Smallish and it sometimes looks like it puffs up or has puffy feathers on the side of her face. Behaviorally, she's pretty skittish too. Pretty hard to catch as well.
Thanks for help or insight.
