Two brooders for chicks in one flock?

Happy hatchling season everyone!

I realized today that my new girls are crowded, or will be when they get a week older. I don’t have one big container, but two smaller ones would do.

Would you split them up and then continually mix up who is in what container? Or reintroduce them as two separate flocks when transferring to the outdoor coop?
