I had two chickens that decided to nest together. They look identical and are inseparable. One went broody and the other one decided to join. I bought them fertilized eggs and placed them under them. I had planned on separating them on the 2nd week before the eggs hatched but I found that 4 of the 5 had hatched. They seem to be doing well with the babies but I'm not sure if I should separate them. If so, would they know what baby belongs to them? The babies go under either mom and moms don't seem to have any issues. What should I do?

If they sat together and they don't appear to fight over the first chick they are most likely best raising them together. I have had a set of hens do this successfully. My others who were broody at the same time will fight at all stages including when sitting on eggs.

I see the babies go under one and then the other and it doesn't bother the moms. I'm just concerned once they are out and about. Are they going to fight for the babies?

I once had 2 hens on the same nest and only one chick hatched, yet they shared caring for it. No fighting. I would bet that yours will be just fine.
