Two Chicks Flipping Over Backwards--Will They Get Better?

I have not 1 but 2 chicks this hatch that keep flipping over backwards. Sometimes I think they're doing better and other times I am very discouraged. They can't stand to eat and drink--I've been dipping their beaks in the water enough to keep them alive and I've also managed to get a few grains of feed in them but to be honest, I'm surprised they've survived this long although I guess their yolk has maybe been helping sustain them up to this point. (They're 4 days old). They keep their heads tucked to the right like they can't straighten them and the one's right leg keeps sliding out from under it. Mostly they just lay and sleep or peep but sometimes they'll get up and stand for a while (that's when I feel encouraged) but next thing you know I look and they're laying flat on their back again.

I'm just not sure what to do. Is this common? i've never had it happen before. Is it fixable? I don't want to watch them starve to death.

One other note, these were my first shipped eggs. I know people say about letting the eggs "settle" before putting them in the bator--is this a reason? I only let them set about 4-1/2 hours before putting them in. I only got 5 out of 12 of these hatch even though all but one seemed fully developed. I also had in some of my barnyard mix eggs and 9 out of 14 hatched; 2 more pipped without hatching and they're all doing well.

Sorry this got long...
