your "brick" is probably a British Range..not certain since the photo isn't real clear.
what is the bird next to it? Is that a manchurian gold or is it gold and white?
I'll have to ask the breeder again what type of quail she is...the other females are a Texas A&M, a Manchurian, and a Tuxedo. The babes are basking in 100 degree weather which is what was recommended in everything I read. After one week I will turn it down to 95 degrees and keep cooling each week as they get bigger. The fighting is over
and no one is panting or avoiding the heatlamp. They run around and play, peck each other, eat, drink, poop, and fall asleep in a heap in the food dish....wake up and repeat.
Thanks! I never knew a thing about quail (and barely do now) until a neighbor dropped over a chick which we thought was a white chicken chick! What a surprise when he stopped growing and starting crowing! I had to get him some friends and the rest is history...so funny someone on this forum was talking about hatchaholics. I can see that happening to me....
